About the venue
The walled kitchen garden at Buitenplaats De Ruyterhof was laid out in 1872 to keep the household stocked with vegetables year-round, and still supplies part of what ends up on the table at weddings. The coach house beside it, with its original stable doors and low beamed ceiling, has been converted into an intimate reception hall for smaller parties.
Estate manager Charlotte Bakker deliberately keeps the hall to one wedding per weekend and usually replies within two days. The coach house seats 95 to 210 guests, with an in-house kitchen that draws on the walled garden, a bar that is not mandatory, and free parking in the courtyard.
