About the venue
The orangery at Buitenplaats De Mereveld was built in 1783 to overwinter citrus trees and has barely changed since: tall glass walls, a stone floor, and a view over the symmetrical garden layout behind it. Since the trees moved to a greenhouse, the space has served as the reception hall for up to 200 guests.
Estate manager Josephine Kramer has a standing arrangement for church weddings with the village church ten minutes’ walk away and arranges the transport between church and orangery herself. She usually replies within three days. Starting at 120 guests, with an in-house kitchen, a bar that is not mandatory, and free parking on the estate.
