About the venue
Boerderij Zonnegaarde grows its own sunflower field next to the farmhouse every year, and from mid-July to early September the ceremony takes place among the rows instead of in a hall. Outside that season, the ceremony moves to the adjoining barn, which is available year-round for the reception.
The farm hosts 60 to 150 guests and works with an outdoor cooking area for the caterer rather than an in-house kitchen. Owner Sanne Hulsman plans the sowing schedule herself around booked wedding dates and usually replies within two days. Free parking on the grounds, a marquee as rain backup, and early setup are all standard.
