About the venue
Boerderij De Gouden Halm is a working farm just outside Zwolle, rented out as a shell rather than a finished venue: a big barn and the meadow around it, with no in-house bar, fixed menu or house DJ. That absence is the point — couples bring their own caterer to cook outdoors on the grounds, stock the drinks themselves, and dress the barn however they want.
Owner Hendrik Postma, who usually replies within three days, puts it plainly: the barn is empty, your caterer cooks in the yard, and he stays out of the way. Starting at 80 guests and one of the lower price points in this list, with live music and a DJ allowed without a curfew, early setup, and free on-site parking.
