About the venue
Al Wisaal Zaanzaal sits a few minutes from the Zaan town centre and grew out of a request the board kept hearing: one half of the family wants a nikah with prayer, the other half a Dutch reception with a borrelplank and a dance floor. The hall is laid out so both can happen in one afternoon, with the prayer room and wudu facilities a short walk from the party floor, so nobody has to travel between two venues.
The hall suits 120 to 260 guests and runs its own kitchen for halal catering. Manager Hans Verbeek personally handles the handover between ceremony and party and usually replies within a day; he has worked for years with DJs who know exactly when prayer pauses and when the music can come back on. Free parking out front, a sound system with DJ set-up included, and a separate room for the civil ceremony are all standard.
