About the venue
Al-Kawthar Strandpaviljoen opened three years ago on the Kraaiven lake in answer to a question owner Rachid Amrani heard often: a beach venue where the bar, or the lack of a prayer space, isn't an obstacle. The pavilion sits on the same sandy beach as the neighbouring venues, but runs fully alcohol-free and has its own screened-off prayer room with wudu facilities a short walk from the terrace.
Rachid usually replies within one day and can arrange a separate women's room for bridal preparation on request. The pavilion seats 150 to 280 guests, works with a regular halal caterer who can also grill right on the beach, and has a heated indoor hall next to the terrace for rainy days.
