About the venue
Al Baraka Huwelijkszaal stands next to the mosque on Vredeoordlaan and was designed around that fact: the prayer room and wudu facilities are a short walk from the reception floor, so evening prayer is not an interruption to the party but simply part of the programme. The kitchen runs fully halal, from the mechoui oven to the last plate of baklava, and no alcohol is served at any point.
The hall seats 220 to 400 guests, split across two spaces separated by a sliding wall for, say, a private nikah alongside the reception. Manager Yassin El Amrani usually replies within a day and can arrange an all-female team for the bridal suite on request. Free parking, a separate entrance for the bridal car, and a sound system with no curfew are included as standard.
